Bphcs peer leadership institute is holding this event at harambee park on 5/ with a rain date of 5/17/14. Linda phifer has aleady obtained a permit from the parks dept. I am assisting her with the rest of the process (i am sharyn moss). This is a community wide event to encourage youth (teens) and families to learn a better way to live a healthy life style through physical activity nutrition and education. There will be physical games and activities a dj playing music and 3 resource tables. There will be a few tents to cover the food (1 box lunches) registration table and the dj. There will be tables and chairs for the youth and community to sit at when they eat. There will be exercises and announcements over the djs microphone.

Bphcs peer leadership institute is planning a flash mob event on 5/8 at 4pm on city hall plaza. Linda phifer has already reached out to lisa lamberti (property and construction management) about securing a space on the plaza and has been granted space near the flag pole. She has been granted tentative use pending the public event permit application process. I am helping her through the process (i am sharyn moss). Flash mob will consist of community youth who are in middle school and high school and are connected to bphc programs. The flash mob will consist of 50-75 teens meeting after school at 4pm at city hall plaza. Bphc will bring an audio system (2 speakers 1 micophone and music from an ipod). There will be a short announcement/welcome the group will dance for 25-35 mins and then disperse. No food/no drink/no tables or chairs. We will need electricity at the flag pole only.
