SCORE 59 19 M Street Nw Washington Dc The landscape architecture foundations pop-up park, completed in partnership with valleycrest landscape companies, is designed to offer downtown workers a lighthearted break in a newfound green space. Laf is a non-profit and think tank for the landscape architecture profession, currently focused on studying the social, economic and environmental impact of parks, green spaces and landscape projects. Visitors will have a chance to enjoy a game of corn hole in the pop-up park, as well as pick up materials on lafs current research initiative, the landscape performance series. The laf pop-up park is designed to be light touch, with re-purposed materials used simply and elegantly. Due to the brief nature of the park installation and concern for the lifecycle of all materials, all design elements are borrowed or destined for another home after the event. A light touch is also applied in arranging elements within the space to create simple opportunities for people to enjoy the place.
