To resolve vcc violations per case number 16-12368, as follows:install new balcony decking, to match existing tongue and groove in size, profile, and dimension. Remove any unused wiring. Remaining wiring must be installed tightly and discretely and painted to match adjacent surface. To prepare for painting by washing using a low water pressure (4 psi max); sanding (rotary sanders cannot be used), making minor millwork and masonry repairs as necessary to match existing conditions (masonry mix must be soft, with maximum portland cement content not to exceed 1 part to 12) and to paint as follows to match existing conditions: walls: sussex green, hc-109, flat or satin finishgutters & downspouts: sussex green, hc-109, flat or satin finish wooden elements including doors, windows, frames, shop windows, fascia soffit outriggers of gallery: white, semigloss shutters: dark green, semigloss. SCORE 81 Install temporary shop-coated steel angle lintel, measuring 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1/4" (compliant with requirements listed in astm a36), into masonry wall, three courses above existing wood lintel. Remove the three courses of brickwork and existing wood lintel. Square up bricks to the left and right of window jamb. Install new treated wood lintel, to match existing dimensions and exposure, painted to match trim using semigloss paint. Reinstall masonry above lintel, using vcc mortar formula (attached). Remove temporarily installed steel angle lintel. Contact vcc staff at (504) 658-14 for inspection before steel lintel is removed and work completed. All reinstalled masonry must be properly "toothed in" to existing masonry wall, using vcc mortar forumla (attached). Cracked or broken bricks shall be replaced to match existing in color, size, material, porosity, detail, profile and exposure.
