Gannett fleming, on behalf of chevron environmental management company plans to install one oxygen reactive zone system in the alley in between oglethorpe street north east, and nicholson street north east. The installation includes one 5 6"x 36 vault to house a compressed gas oxygen cylinder and associated piping which will be connected to an electrical backboard (installed near the conduit of a utility pole) and installed directly behind 594 nicholson street north east. To reach the backboard conduit will be run in a trench approximately 9 from the system vault to the backboard ventilation piping for the vault will also be run in this trench for a vent stack located near the electrical backboard. Five wells will be installed in 2x2 vaults and connected to the system by underground lines run through trenches. Install two bollards as follows: one 3 6" bollard in alley behind 594 nicholson st, ne (area c) and one 3 6"bollard in alley behind 6 oglethorpe st ne. Each bollard to be installed approximately 6 feet from existing pepco utility pole. Bollards will protect a surface mounted backboard with electrical meter, circuit breakler panel, and control panel feeding a subsurface remediation system to be installed beneath the alley pursuant to the requirements of the u. S. Environmental protection agency and approval of d. C. Department of the environment.
